ABOUT MY ARTWORKS

As an internationally established contemporary artist, I have been fortunate enough to pursue my passion for more than two decades. From humble beginnings in India to showcasing my works in renowned art shows around the world, it has been an exhilarating ride. Over the years, I have had the privilege of being part of over 100 art shows, both locally and internationally. It is truly a surreal experience to witness my paintings being appreciated by art enthusiasts and collectors from different corners of the globe.

My journey as an artist has taken me to some of the most renowned International Online Art Galleries, such as Artfinder, Singulart, Saatchi Art, Artmajure, and many others. These platforms have provided me with a global stage to share my creations and connect with art enthusiasts from all walks of life.

One of the most gratifying aspects of my career has been the opportunity to sell my paintings to esteemed private collectors, corporates, and interior designers around the world. From the vibrant streets of India to the bustling cityscapes of New York, Miami, Boston, London, Milano, Charlotte, Sydney and many more, my artwork has found its way into the hearts and homes of individuals who appreciate and value fine art.

Over the years, my paintings have been featured in various newspaper articles and publications, further amplifying their reach and impact. It is humbling to witness how my art has transcended boundaries and touched the lives of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

I am also proud to have exhibited my works in some of the world's most prestigious Art Shows, including Art Expo New York, Miami River Art Fair, Paris Art Fair, and many more. These exhibitions have provided me with a platform to connect with talented fellow artists, art enthusiasts, and collectors, fostering a sense of community and shared passion for the arts.

Whether it's showcasing my works in India or overseas, the response and appreciation I have received have been overwhelming. It truly inspires me to push the boundaries of my creativity and continue to explore new artistic horizons.

My style is very fresh and has been profoundly appreciated, accepted and sold internationally.

Working on the large canvases has been an exciting experience as it requires me to justify the space, balance the composition, maintain the colour scheme and use subtle texture appropriately. My color palette is mostly warm colours like shades of ochre, sienna, umber, crimson etc. Also, I use bright vibrant colors in my pop art works.

I draw my inspiration from many artists of the past and the present.

However three artists who have a great influence on me and my works are Picasso, Andy Warhol and Amrita Sher-Gil. I have always been impressed by their bold works, their out of box and revolutionary thinking and their courage and dedication to change the world of Art.

Their attitude, approach and thought process have constantly inspired me and I am proud to be influenced by these known artists.

ABOUT MY FIGURATIVE SERIES

“Painting is another way of keeping a Diary” Pablo Picasso. The quote by Pablo Picasso holds immense influence over my figurative paintings. In today's digital age, where information is readily available at the click of a button, our lives and relationships have undergone a significant transformation. The pages of my life's diary are filled with experiences of evolving relationships, which I strive to portray through my artwork.

Motivated to stay in stride with the changing world, my artistic focus primarily revolves around the contemporary woman of today. This modern-day woman is a symbol of versatility, fuelled by independence and self-attained equilibrium. She is complete, flawless, and self-sufficient in every aspect and challenge that life presents. Free from the constraints that hold her back, she has the power to realize her true self.

By consistently simplifying the form, I have crafted a universal, absolute figure that represents and relates to all women, irrespective of their differences and peculiarities. The protagonists in my artworks transcend boundaries and divisions, uniting and amalgamating all women through a shared, common soul. This interconnectedness brings women together as a collective force.

Rendered in a controlled and mature color palette, the strong, modern women in my paintings make no attempt to hide or shy away. I consciously choose to refrain from incorporating ornamental accessories and excessive details. This intentional ambiguity enhances the universal appeal of the form, making it relatable to women from all walks of life.

Within my paintings, women are depicted willingly surrendering themselves to boundless affection in some instances, while in others, they emotionally detach themselves from relationships devoid of respect and freedom. Regardless of their choices regarding relationships, these women excel at refraining from pretence and superficial living. Their authenticity shines through their actions.

Fundamentally believing in the equality of gender, I recognize that men and women are integral parts of each other's lives. However, it remains a well-known fact that women have been historically deprived of their rights and, most importantly, their respect. As a woman myself, I have always strived to give women the importance they truly deserve. Therefore, they take center stage and occupy the most prominent positions in my artworks.

To symbolize the pursuit of perfection within the modern human race, I employ symmetrical forms like squares, rectangles, checks, and butterflies to cover the human figures in my paintings. These geometric shapes represent the desire for flawlessness and balance, encapsulating the aspirations and struggles we all face as individuals striving for fulfillment.

In each stroke of my brush, I aim to create a vivid portrayal of the contemporary woman - powerful, resilient, and unapologetically herself.

Through my figurative paintings, I hope to evoke emotions, challenge norms, and ignite a dialogue that encapsulates the essence of being a woman in the present era.

ABOUT MY POP ART SERIES

About my Series Titled: "Automobiles - Classic meets POP!"

I draw my muse from what Andy Warhol once said, “All things are beautiful, but not everyone knows how to recognize them.” It is this concept of finding beauty in unexpected places that has driven my passion for the Automobiles Series.

Inspired by the influential characteristics of Pop Art, I have combined the most beautiful and majestic Classic Cars and Bikes with bright and vibrant colors to turn them into my own unique pieces of Pop Art.

The beauty of Classic Automobiles is evergreen. These timeless machines have captivated the hearts of enthusiasts for decades. Each vehicle possesses its own aura of elegance and uniqueness that sets it apart from the rest. From the smooth curves of a vintage Cadillac to the sleek lines of a classic Harley-Davidson, every Classic Car and Bike exudes a sense of sophistication that lingers in the air.

What truly sets Classic Automobiles apart is the incredible creativity and uniqueness embodied in each model. The designers and engineers of these legendary vehicles embraced innovation and artistic expression, pushing the boundaries of what was possible in the automotive world. Each make and model tells its own story, reflecting the era in which it was created and the vision of its creators.

As an artist, I have found endless inspiration in the aesthetics of Classic Automobiles. The intricacies of their design, the attention to detail, and the sheer craftsmanship involved have moved me deeply. I see these vehicles not just as modes of transportation but as pieces of art in their own right. Through my paintings, I aim to capture the essence of their beauty and transfer it onto the canvas, preserving their enchanting allure for generations to come.

In the realm of art, traditionally, some subjects were considered more worthy of artistic representation than others. However, Pop Art challenges this notion, suggesting that inspiration and beauty can be found in everyday objects just as much as in traditional artistic subjects. The Classic Cars and Bikes that I choose to showcase in my Automobiles Series are a testament to this approach, as they embody the fusion of functionality and design.

The vibrancy and energy of Pop Art are reflected in the colors I select for my Automobiles Series. Bright, bold, and eye-catching, the colors I use breathe new life into the classic forms of the vehicles. About my Series titled– “Lights! Camera!! Action!!!”

Introduction

In my painting series, titled "Lights! Camera!! Action!!!", I have paid tribute to some of the most iconic and influential Hollywood and Bollywood characters. As an artist, I have always been fascinated by the timeless charm and unparalleled contributions of individuals like Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Madhubala, and Helen. They have not only left an indelible mark on the silver screen but have also captured the hearts of generations with their exceptional talents. With this series, I aim to blend the classic and the pop art styles to create visually striking and contemporary artworks that celebrate the flawless performances of these extraordinary individuals.

Perfect Symmetrical Forms

To emphasize the flawless performances of the Hollywood and Bollywood legends, I have chosen to incorporate perfect symmetrical forms, such as squares and checks, into each artwork. The meticulous arrangement of these geometric shapes symbolizes the precise and captivating nature of their acting, singing, and dancing abilities. Every stroke of the brush and every carefully placed element on the canvas is meant to honor their impeccable skills that have enthralled audiences for decades.

The Fusion of Classic and Pop Art Styles

In order to infuse a modern twist into these classic figures, I have employed the vibrant and energetic style of Pop Art. This artistic movement emerged in the 1950s and 1960s, drawing inspiration from popular culture and mass media. ABOUT MY WATERCOLOR SERIES

I am fascinated by the delicacy and subtlety of watercolor art. It captures the essence of thin washes and transparent colors, allowing the white of the paper to shine through and enhance the luminosity of the painting. The fluidity of this medium offers a unique opportunity for me to let go and strike a balance between control and freedom, resulting in astonishing effects and outputs.

A Blossoming Inspiration :

Flowers, a gift of nature, hold a special place in all our lives. Their presence brings joy and beauty to any environment. For me, they are a timeless subject that allows endless exploration and experimentation with colors and imagination. Whether it's the vibrant red of a rose or the delicate pastel shades of a lily, flowers offer a rich palette of hues to create captivating watercolor compositions.

One of the most enchanting aspects of working with watercolor is the ability to embrace vibrant and lively colors. From the deepest blues to the brightest yellows, watercolor allows me to capture the essence of flowers' natural hues. By carefully mixing and layering transparent washes, I can achieve intricate details, gradations, and gradients that bring my artwork to life.
