About my Painting Titled: “Couple in Love 1”

A grilled gate stands between them

She waits, yet her heart walks freely to him.

He sits elsewhere, holding her in memory,

finding her in every pause of thought.

Time hangs in the room, ticking softly,

counting seconds filled with longing.

Distance tests them,

but love learns patience, refusing to fade,

becoming deeper in the waiting.

In my painting, I wanted to capture the essence of a couple deeply in love. The artwork portrays both the sweet and sour moments they experience, highlighting the emotions and longing that often accompany such relationships. Through this piece, I hope to communicate the complexity and beauty of love.

At the left of the painting, we see a beautiful lady anxiously waiting for her lover. She sits behind a grilled door, which symbolizes the barrier that separates them physically but not emotionally. This door represents the anticipation and yearning that can arise when distance separates two individuals deeply in love.

The grilled door serves as a metaphor for their temporary separation, evoking a sense of longing and desire. The intricate design of the grill adds a touch of elegance and mystery to the scene,

Positioned subtly in the background, a clock becomes a powerful symbol in the painting. As time passes, it represents the moments lost and the ache of missing each other. Each tick and tock echoes their yearning, reminding us of the preciousness of their time together.

The presence of the clock acts as a poignant reminder of the passing of time, urging the couple to cherish every moment they share. It serves as a testament to the temporal nature of love, encouraging them to make the most of the time they have.

As the lady waits, her lover is shown lost in his thoughts, reminiscing about the moments they have shared. With a wistful expression, he treasures the memories of their togetherness and love. This portrayal showcases the profound impact their relationship has had on both individuals.

These moments of reflection highlight the power of love to transcend physical presence. Even when apart, their connection remains strong and their love continues to grow. Through this representation, I aim to convey the enduring nature of their bond, despite any challenges they may face.

Love is a complex and multi-faceted emotion, capable of evoking both joy and longing. My painting endeavors to capture the emotional journey of a couple deeply in love, showcasing their anticipation, nostalgia, and unwavering connection. Through the symbolism of the grilled door, the ticking clock, and the lovers’ reminiscent expressions, the artwork invites viewers to reflect on the depth and beauty of their own relationships. Love, after all, is a timeless experience that transcends physical boundaries and unites hearts.

I use vibrant hues of red, orange, white and blue in the lady along with contrasting hues of sienna for the man, and a grey background to harmonize the composition.

To symbolize the pursuit of perfection within the modern human race, I use my signature style of symmetrical forms like squares, rectangles, checks, and butterflies to cover the human figures in my paintings. These geometric shapes represent the desire for flawlessness and balance, encapsulating the aspirations and struggles we all face as individuals striving for fulfillment.

About my Figurative Series:

“Painting is another way of keeping a Diary” Pablo Picasso. The quote by Picasso holds immense influence over my figurative paintings. In today’s digital age, where information is readily available at the click of a button, our lives and relationships have undergone a significant transformation. The pages of my life’s diary are filled with experiences of evolving relationships, which I strive to portray through my artwork.

Motivated to stay in stride with the changing world, my artistic focus primarily revolves around the contemporary woman of today. This modern-day woman is a symbol of versatility, fueled by independence and self-attained equilibrium. She is complete, flawless, and self-sufficient in every aspect and challenge that life presents. Free from the constraints that hold her back, she has the power to realize her true self.

By consistently simplifying the form, I have crafted a universal, absolute figure that represents and relates to all women, irrespective of their differences and peculiarities. The protagonists in my artworks transcend boundaries and divisions, uniting and amalgamating all women through a shared, common soul. This interconnectedness brings women together as a collective force.

Rendered in a controlled and mature color palette, the strong, modern women in my paintings make no attempt to hide or shy away. I consciously choose to refrain from incorporating ornamental accessories and excessive details. This intentional ambiguity enhances the universal appeal of the form, making it relatable to women from all walks of life.

Within my paintings, women are depicted willingly surrendering themselves to boundless affection in some instances, while in others, they emotionally detach themselves from relationships devoid of respect and freedom. Regardless of their choices regarding relationships, these women excel at refraining from pretense and superficial living. Their authenticity shines through their actions.

Fundamentally believing in the equality of gender, I recognize that men and women are integral parts of each other’s lives. However, it remains a well-known fact that women have been historically deprived of their rights and, most importantly, their respect. As a woman myself, I have always strived to give women the importance they truly deserve. Therefore, they take center stage and occupy the most prominent positions in my artworks.

In each stroke of my brush, I aim to create a vivid portrayal of the contemporary woman – powerful, resilient, and unapologetically herself. Through my figurative paintings, I hope to evoke emotions, challenge norms, and ignite a dialogue that encapsulates the essence of being a woman in the present era.
